  • Color Fastness to Light

Principle : This test measures the resistance to fading of dyed textiles when exposed to day light. The tested specimen is exposed for a certain time (12h,20h,36h,72h ) etc or as customer demand.

Test Method: ISO 105 BO2

3. Standard blue wool reference.

 

  • Color Fastness to Washing

Principle : Fastness to washing is one of the important dyeing properties to the consumers.Washing condition vary from one country to another. To evaluate repeated washing,accelerated test method are used.

Test Method: ISO 105 CO6 C2S/A2S

Apparatus:
1. Thermostatically controlled water bath
2. Stainless steel ball

1. ECE Detergent

2. Sodium Perborate tetrahydrate
3. Sodium hypochlorite

  • Color Fastness to Rubbing

Principle : This test is designed to determine the degree of color which may be transferred from the surface of a colored textile to a specific crock meter test cloth for rubbing (dry&wet).


Test Method:
ISO 105 X12:1993


Apparatus:

1. Crock meter
2. Cotton Rubbing Cloth
3. Grey Scale
4. Stopwatch

  • Color Fastness to Perspiration

Principle :The garments which come into contact with the body where perspiration is heavy may suffer serious local discoloration.This test is intended to determine the resistance of color of dyed textiles to the action of acid and alkali perspiration.


Test Method :
ISO 105 E04


Apparatus:

1. Perspiration Tester
2. Oven

4. Glass or acrylic plate
5. Acid and alkhaline solution
6. Grey Scale
7. Light Box


Reagents:

1. L-Histidine mono-hydrochloride
2. Sodium chloride
3. Disodium hydrogen orthophosphate dihydrate
4. Distilled water

 

  • Color Fastness to Water

Principle : This test is intended to determine the resistance of color of dyed textiles to water,multi fiber fabric is attached to the test specimen and immersed into water,drained and placed between two plates under a specific pressure and time in a testing device.

  •  Dimensional Stability to Wash

Principle : Due to manufacturing operation the dimensional stability of fabric falls sometimes.It can’t keeps its original shape, may increase or decrease. Shrinkage is the term to express these changes as percentage.
